Overview:
Karen Lum is the owner of K. Lum Consulting and is a business coach and trainer for many organizations here in Bozeman, Montana and beyond. She approached us with a need for new photos to be used for her online marketing including use on social media and her website. Karen knew she needed high-quality imagery to make an impression online but was hesitant to hire a professional photographer due to the fact that she had never experienced her own personal brand photography session before.
Process:
We sat down with Karen a week before our session to create a customized session plan, and it was an amazing process. Karen knew exactly the type of images she wanted to capture and knew just how they would be utilized on her website and social media feeds. This made the planning process efficient and a lot of fun.
Outcome:
Speaking of fun, Karen’s session was a blast. She was a natural in front of the camera and Tyson made sure to help her feel comfortable and confident in front of the lens. We explored many different locations around downtown Bozeman. Best of all, the images turned out amazing. Karen uses the images to great effect on her Instagram feed.
Here’s what Karen had to say about her experience:
“It was a big shift for me to embrace getting in front of the camera for my business marketing imagery. There were a few reasons for this. First, my business is all about supporting my clients as they are my focus. The second reason was how low my expectations were that any of the photos taken would be anything I was excited about. Then I did my first-ever branding session with Tyson at Bright Side Photo & Video, and I had a lot more fun than I expected! Tyson is exceptional to work with. Of all the photographers I've used for brand work, his approach makes me the most comfortable and my images are always so authentically me and my brand. I’m grateful for the time Tyson invests to prepare for the shoot and to find the best locations. Tyson is so invested in storytelling through images. I'm a raving fan.”
